JOB SUMMARY

The position is to attend and assist a wide range of miscellaneous public and private events, building maintenance, working in tandem with the Facilities Maintenance and under the supervision of the WCC Director. Must have personable skills and able to communicate with guests, the public, coworkers, city staff, and management in an efficient and respectful manner. Must always ensure the security of the building and convey the same with others.

Our summer nature camp is seeking energetic, responsible Camp Counselors to provide a safe, healthy, and positive experience for campers. Part-Time Nature Camp Supervisor  Full Job Description       $14.00/hour          CLOSING DATE: MAY 27TH OR UNTIL FILLED 

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Programs and Operations Manager, Camp Supervisors are responsible for leading groups of up to 40 children and supervising Nature Camp Counselors for the full summer camp season. The applicant is responsible for the pre-camp preparatory work of developing camp activities geared to be fun and appropriate for ages 6-12 and aiding with camp staff training. This position is directly responsible for the safety and supervision of their assigned group at all times. Camp Supervisors will also oversee, evaluate, and provide feedback for individuals registered in our Counselor in Training program (CIT) ages 13-15. We love activities that incorporate crafts, environmental education, and getting hands dirty! Full-Time City Marshal        Full Job Description            $50,000 to $62,000 / DOQ             CLOSING DATE: JUNE 3, 2022 OR UNTIL FILLED

JOB SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of the City Administrator, the City Marshal is the chief administrative officer of the Marshal’s Office. The Marshal is expected to show the highest level of professional judgement as they lead all activities of the Marshal’s Office to provide a safe environment for citizens and visitors. The Marshal performs management and operational responsibilities and is expected to serve with high ethical standards and adherence to law enforcement protocol and principals. The Marshal will assist in reestablishing the Wimberley Marshal’s Office and must be able to develop, implement, and review policies and procedures. The Marshal shall enforce laws of the Unites States, the State of Texas, and ordinances of the City of Wimberley. The ideal candidate will understand how to blend intelligence-based policing and community-based policing. This person should be able to build successful partnerships within the community to ensure a common vision is enacted and supported. The ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and be an effective listener.
