Blue Hole Regional Park is a natural, spring-fed swimming hole lined with the iconic Cypress Trees located deep in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. The whole family will enjoy swimming in crystal clear water, sunbathing on the grassy swim lawn, and of course, swinging on our famous rope swings.
Blue Hole Regional Park is closed for swimming until May 2022. All other recreational amenities are free and open to the public.
Swimming reservations are now open! Guests are able to purchase reservations for any day and time slot for the entire summer season. Please view the "2022 Swim Season Info" for more information.
Season Passes are available for Wimberley Residents beginning March 1st. Passes will be available to purchase for non-residents beginning April 1st.
Our Nature Camps have grown in popularity as well as in experience and we are so excited to offer this award-winning camp to the Wimberley community for the seventh year in a row! Blue Hole Nature Camp is a weekly day camp program that the City of Wimberley Parks and Recreation Department provides to the nature-conscious youth of the community, ages 6 to 12 and a Counselor in Training program ages 13 to 15.
Campers learn camping skills, explore native Texas wildlife and their habitats, basic archery skills, local flora and fauna, conserving our natural resources, and of course traditional camp games! We have partnered with several entities over the years including The Meadows Center, Texas Master Naturalists, Texas Parks and Wildlife, Texas Wildlife Association, the Wimberley Village Library, and local Animal Rehab Groups.
